These connect the FMV source to the exact stock shown in CG. FMV review becomes clearer when the platform can match the sale row to an active script-level FMV source or when the FMV value is entered manually during review.

No CG Statement data available. Run FIFO allocation first.
Use delta upload for new MIS Combined purchase rows. Existing rows are kept, exact duplicates are skipped, and nothing is overwritten automatically.
Upload the Brought Forward loss file containing opening balances and historical set-offs. Sheet2 will be parsed for CA's prior year data.

Set TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) rates for Short Term and Long Term capital gains. These rates are applied to calculate TDS in the CG Statement.
Configure parent-child demerger rules used by FIFO, CG, Matrix and Demerger Review flows. Uploaded MIS and NSDL files use these rules; they are not inferred automatically.

Configure ISIN-level FMV source records for grandfathering. These mapped values drive the FMV review flow in the CG table. Raw quotation rows can be imported separately and linked later.

Import rows from Market Quotation_Equity and keep them as unmapped references until they are linked to an ISIN later. These rows are not used in runtime CG calculations until they become configured FMV sources.

Capture the corporate-action rule used to derive child inventory and parent cost split.
Capture the FMV reference used to apply Section 112A grandfathering for a specific ISIN.

The platform keeps the current basis visible, shows the suggested FMV basis separately, and keeps FMV review explicit. Please compare the current basis and the suggested FMV basis before saving the final choice.
For most NRI Form 15 workflows, FMV matters only for pre-31-Jan-2018 listed equity purchases. Master Data stores the script-level FMV source, and FMV review in the CG table shows the current basis, the suggested FMV basis, and any manual FMV entered during review.
These connect the FMV source to the exact stock shown in CG. FMV review becomes clearer when the platform can match the sale row to an active script-level FMV source or when the FMV value is entered manually during review.
These provide the gross FMV basis used for grandfathering. For listed equity, this usually comes from the quoted market price as on 31-Jan-2018, but the current basis remains visible until the review choice is saved.
These preserve where the FMV came from so the quotation source can be traced during review. For broker-driven equity cases, the primary source is usually Market Quotation_Equity.
These preserve audit context. FMV is not just a number; the platform should explain where it came from and whether the saved result uses the current basis, the suggested FMV basis, or a manual FMV value.
The CG table should show the effective cost actually being used, not raw FMV blindly. The modal is where the FMV comparison and choice happen.
This keeps the platform aligned with a cautious review workflow: configuration in Master Data, comparison in CG, and an explicit saved result before relying on FMV.
Uploads give transaction facts. The demerger rule supplies the tax logic that MIS and NSDL files cannot infer safely on their own.
Use the official corporate-action document to configure the parent-child relation, dates, ratio and cost split that the engine applies during FIFO and CG runs.
Official corporate-action reference date. Keep it for audit traceability and source-document matching.
Entitlement boundary. Only parent shares still held on this date are eligible for the child shares.
Inventory availability boundary. Child shares must not be used in FIFO before they actually appear in NSDL.
Defines how fractional child entitlements are handled lot-by-lot when entitlement is not a whole number.
MIS and NSDL uploads provide the facts. The demerger rule tells the platform how to translate those facts into tax cost basis.
After flooring, 24 shares are assigned. If the actual credited total is 26, the remaining 2 shares go to the biggest remainders first: Lot C, then Lot A.
If two lots have the same remainder, the older FIFO lot gets priority.
This will delete all existing allocations for this run and re-process FIFO for all clients.
